Find Zen in Shirotori Garden

Shirotori Garden is one of the largest traditional Japanese gardens in Nagoya City. A big pond is designed in the center of the park and you can stroll around it. The elements of nature at the park represent the nature surrounding Nagoya City. The central pond is the body of water of Ise Bay. The small hill in the southwest depicts Mt. Ontake and the stream originating from the hill shows the Kiso River. Enjoy the exquisite combination and balance of the lawn, trees, rocks and water. Spend some peaceful and relaxing time at this tranquil old Japanese style garden.

This Japanese garden has great charm every season. In spring, it’s pink all over the place with plums and cherry blossoms. In summer, tender green with the trees and the grass.
