Landmark Representing Nagoya
Oasis 21 is in Sakae, downtown Nagoya consisting of a rooftop Spaceship-Aqua, Field of Green on the ground level, Galaxy Platform in the basement. It is connected directly from Sakae subway station. There is Bus Terminal which also connects to a lot of different kinds of bus lines and routes.
The Symbol of Oasis 21
The roof which looks like a spaceship, is the landmark of Oasis 21. It is called Spaceship-Aqua with water running on the surface of the rooftop. You can go up to the spaceship and you’ll enjoy the oasis with the abundance of water in the urban desert. You’ll enjoy the view of the city from the top. The oval shape of the spaceship is distinctive and fascinating. It is stunning at night with a lot of lights lit up around it. It sure stands out as the symbol of Nagoya.
Nature in the Center of the City
Sakae area is the center of the city and Oasis 21 offers a lot of nature to this urban part of the of the city. The scenery changes with the season -cherry blossoms in spring, beautiful green in summer and Japanese maple trees turning red in fall. Enjoy and feel the nature!
Lots of Events Always Going on!
There are various kinds of events regularly in the center square, such as futsal game events, exhibitions, ice-skating etc,. There are stores and restaurants to enjoy shopping, lunch and dinner in Galaxy Platform. There is an information place called “Oasis 21 i Center”. You can find brochures, city attractions, gifts and some tickets available for sightseeing sites. There is foreign language assistance as well at the center.
